Why is 3 Strands a nonprofit?
Our mission is to be an outward-focused, others-minded organization. It is not our goal to build a financially valuable asset. We want instead to invest in people and to provide the structure that allows others to join us in those efforts.

Do you accept health or other forms of insurance?
At this time, we cannot accept insurance.  However, we may be able to offer you a subsidized or discounted rate for our services.  If this is something you want to learn more about, please designate that on your Intake Form.

Can I make a donation to 3 Strands? Is my gift tax-deductible? Can I designate how my gift is used?
The answer is “yes” to all three questions!  Since we are a nonprofit 501c3 organization, you can make a tax-deductible gift to 3 Strands.  Your gift allows us to help those who may otherwise not be able to utilize our services. I think I would like to talk to someone but I'm not sure what kind of help I need?
That is totally understandable and actually very common. The important thing is just taking the step to reach out like you are doing now. Just select "I'm not sure" on the Intake Form and we will work together to identify the best next steps for you during the Initial Assessment. We will only proceed if and when you and/or your loved ones are comfortable.

What if I want to talk with a licensed person or don't think you can offer what I need?
That is okay. Our goal is to meet your needs however we can. If we can't do so directly, we will try to help refer you to the resources you need.

I want to learn more about 3 Strands, but don't want to fill out a form yet. What should I do?
We understand, feel free to call us at 317-665-5863 or click HERE to email us directly.  You can give us whatever contact info you are comfortable with and let us know what you are interested in.  We will get back to you within 24-48 hours. We will never give away or sell your information and you can remove yourself from our contact list at any time.

If you are a nonprofit why do you charge for your services?
Even though we are a nonprofit, we have many of the same expenses as a for-profit business.  However, we are able to accept tax deductible donations that we use to try and keep our expenses low and our services as affordable as possible.  It is our goal at 3 Strands to serve as many people as we are able regardless of their ability to pay. Our pursuit of that goal is ever-changing based on the generous donations of our patrons and the demand for our services, as well as our ability to meet the demand.

I am considering donating or participating in one of your events.  How do I know my gifts and/or involvement will be put to good use?
We do our best to operate 3 Strands in a transparent manner.  Each year we will publish an Annual Report to share the important aspects of the organization with our clients, donors and friends.  If you have specific questions or concerns, contact us HERE.
